Have you ever asked yourself what is the equipment that you need to be able to watch TV or movies, play or surf on the Internet in any room of your house?
I am going to explain what you need to do to link your gaming console, TV or HD player into a multimedia network; I will try also to suggest the cables you need to use for a top-notch experience.
First of all, you need a HD satellite receiver and a media player (located in the basement). In the room in the left (see the picture above) you have a TV linked to a 4×1 cable with a HDMI cable which has inputs for the basement receivers, Blu Ray player and a console. In the upper room we find a 2×1 switch for the basement source and a gaming console.
What if you have a restaurant or a bar? How would your customer’s experience be if you’d let them delight themselves with multimedia entertaining environment? If you had to buy separate multimedia solutions for each room, the costs would be too big; by having a system as this one, you keep the costs low and make it look more interconnected.

DVB-ST Receiver Ferguson Ariva HDcombo
Ferguson HDcombo is a digital satellite receiver of terrestrial channels (DVB-S/S2 and DVB-T) transmitted both in HD and SD resolution. It has a card reader for pay TV and two CI slots for CAM modules, which offer flexibility when configuring the satellite TV packages. The receiver also supports subtitles. The USB interface and PVR function allows recording.

The player displays HD movies (MKV H.264), video from HD cameras (AVCHD), digital resolution images. The device also supports files with brought from the web. It interconnects with USB drives, digital cameras, video cameras and portable media players. It allows audio playing at the highest quality and also in FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec).
